Narrative for our Music Video

In the original narrative for the music video it was based on Beyonce having a miscarriage and losing a potential child. Therefore we decided to interpret it into our own narrative of losing a close/best friend. We thought we would be able to represent this better as our artist is considerably younger than Beyonce and therefore wouldn't be as obvious to the audience if we was to make her lose a child. The artist in the music video will be the mourner as her best friend has passed away. As the actor who will be playing the artist is a good friend of Katy's. We found some footage of when they were younger which we wanted to incorporate because it shows happiness within their friendship which suited the style of the music video. These clips from when they were younger will represent flashbacks and past events. This makes the music video seem more realistic as there is real footage within. We have created a funeral programme which we will be using in our video which on the front has a picture of Katy along with her date of birth and the date she has supposedly passed away, and on the back we have included a quote from the song itself.
